👋 About Me

Hi! I'm Edith, originally from 🇵🇪 Ayacucho, Peru, and now living in the 🇬🇧 UK thanks to the Global Talent Visa. My professional background is in systems and computer engineering, and over the years, I've worked as a software developer, DevOps engineer, and now as a Technology Evangelist at Percona, currently expanding my journey into Quality Engineering to better understand and improve the experience of database users especially in Kubernetes. I've also contributed to projects like Apache Airflow as part of the Ourtechy and translated parts of the Kubernetes website into Spanish. My learning journey took me from university in Peru to 42 Silicon Valley in the US, where I studied C programming during the pandemic, pushed myself to learn English, got to know new cultures, and made friends from all over the world.

🎨 Outside Work

I love creating simple diagrams and visuals to explain complex topics. I'm also into board games 🎲, Beyblade battles 🔧, AI experiments 🤖, and fantasy series (just finished The Lord of the Rings!).
I truly enjoy spending time with family, where I feel connected to nature and peace. Sometimes, I also enjoy doing absolutely nothing, you know, just random unnecessary things!
